From raw market data to validated intelligence
Bitcoin AI runs a continuous four-stage pipeline: ingest, engineer, predict, validate. Every stage is automatic, auditable and strictly guarded against lookahead bias — the same discipline an institutional quant research desk would apply.
Ingest real data
Hourly BTC candles and live tickers are pulled from multiple exchanges with automatic failover. Every row passes integrity validation — gaps, duplicates, out-of-order prints and anomalies are detected and logged, never synthesized. If the feed is stale, the system says DATA STALE instead of pretending.

Engineer features
Dozens of causal features — trend, volatility, momentum, volume and microstructure measures — are computed strictly from past data. Causality is enforced by construction and verified by tests: mutating future candles cannot change features computed for past timestamps.

- Future-mutation invariance is regression-tested
- Warmup gating avoids immature, low-quality samples
Predict & learn
Model families (logistic regression, random forest, gradient boosting) issue short-term (6h) and medium-term (24h) directional outlooks every hour. Each prediction is stored with its full context, then evaluated exactly once — when its horizon has fully matured with real outcome data.
- Two independent tasks per horizon: UP and DOWN
- Fee-aware thresholds reflect real trading costs
- Pending predictions are never counted as performance
Validate & deploy
Candidate models are judged on out-of-sample walk-forward folds plus a protected test set they have never seen. A candidate is promoted only when it objectively beats the current production model by a required margin — otherwise it is rejected and the decision is recorded.
